Professor Richard Wilding's particular interests include supply chain 4.0, supply chain strategy, supply chain resilience and risk management, the creation of collaborative business environments, the alignment of supply chains to maximise customer value and reduce risk. He has published widely on a variety of areas. A key focus of his work is the creation of effective supply chain strategies that result in risk mitigation within the supply chain. Effective Supply Chain Management results in reduced risk for all players and enhances value for customers and simultaneously reduces cost!
Professor Richard Wilding is engaged with his former colleagues in the development of the Cranfield Supply Chain Research Centre and its research portfolio including Supply Chain Risk and Resilience. The focus of this Centre's activity is the applied research into logistics and supply chain management, with a view to providing practicing managers and policy makers with the tools and concepts necessary to enable them to improve Supply Chain effectiveness.
